1.) FB FTC Victory: FB hit the $1T valuation mark after a judge threw out an FTC anti-trust complaint last Monday. Basically, the gov’ts case wasn’t tight enough. So victory…for now. Over the weekend, to celebrate, Zuck went electric wakeboarding with an American flag
2.) Didi IPO & Robinhood S-1: Chinese ride sharing monster Didi went public and Robinhood unveiled their S-1 on the heels of settling the largest FINRA fine in history. Robinhood has 18M accounts and >$80B under management. And memes. They monetize the memes!
3.) Branson > Bezos?: Oh Bezos, this is an entirely new arena of competition. Richard Branson is joining the Virgin Galactic launch in an effort to beat Jeff Bezos & Blue Origin into space. Billionaires love space, competition, and measurement contests. The space race is ON!
4.) $ College Athletes $: now this is HUGE news! College athletes can finally monetize their names & likenesses through endorsements. Can you imagine what Tim Tebow, Reggie Bush & thousands of other athletes would have made in their day? The NCAA cartel is finally falling down..ish
